Unmovable Mines (formerly Chemistry For Blockheads)
This mod has somewhat changed since the 1.19 version, you can find the old description here
Unmovable Mines adds two structures to the world:
Mines
And Processors
The mod adds over 20 ores generated by these mines base on real life examples, and as such each ore can have multiple elements inside, however to get at the elements you need to take these ores to a processor that can process them (the ore information and the processor information can be found by interacting with the respective blocks, and the contents of an ore can be seen by hovering over it in chat) at the processor, the ore will be turned into it's elements raw form (like raw iron) or dust (like sulfur dust) or a special item named chemical dust which stores what element it is of, and if you ever then get a mod that adds that element you can use the chemical dust in the air to convert it, this is also tested to work using Create deployers
The idea of this mod is for this process to be automated by something like trains from Create, or really any other way, the structures don't chunk load themselves, but it is only the specific block next to chests that needs to be in a loaded chunk
As of 1.1.0, you can create an ores.txt
file in config/umines/
where you can specify what element translates to what item, for instance:
uranium=minecraft:oak_planks
cerium=minecraft:spruce_planks
this is useful if you want specific elements to mean something different, or you want the element to convert to a different form.
For a more realistic example, you may want to have uranium (the element) map to the Alex's Caves Uranium (yes this mod works with forge if you use Sinytra)
