Fintastic 2.0 - The Intermission Update

Fixes and changes

  • Fixed minnows crashing when trying to spawn.
  • Fixed arapaimas being bucketable when adults, causing a crash.
  • Removed duplicate vanilla music to make the file smaller.
  • Breeding fish now count towards the Parrots and the Bats advancement.
  • Reworked Arapaimas, they are now able to crawl on land, the babies can be bucketed and follow adults, and the adults can be milked when right clicked with an empty bucket. The also have new models, textures and animations.
  • Reworked Minnows, adding new variants with brand new models and animations.

Additions

  • Added Moonies, a small salt-water fish that school with a newly implemented boid system.
  • Added Coelacanths, an elusive fish that spawns very rarely in Warm Oceans and a bit more commonly in the depths of Deep Lukewarm Oceans. Their eyes glow when it's dark enough. Adults can only be transported in Fishnets, but babies can be bucketed.
  • Added Gouramies, a curious fish that spawns in Swamp biomes. They like going up to the surface for air every once in a while. They are also curious by nature and like poking around underwater decorative plants like Hornwort or any of the new plants added in this update. Croaking Gouramies produce an idle sound similar to their real life counterparts. Adult Giant Gouramies can only be transported in Fishnets, but babies and every other variant can be bucketed.
  • Added Stromatolites patches, a new feature that generates in beaches right next to water. These patches have 3 new blocks; Stromatolites, Stromatolite Growths and Stromatolite Blocks. Stromatolite Blocks can be turned into bricks and its respective block variations (stairs, slabs, walls), as well as being able to be cut in a Stonecutter to obtain Cut Stromatolite Blocks. Stromatolites and Stromatolite Growths can be waterlogged.
  • Added Fossilized Stromatolite patches, a new feature that generates near deepslate. These patches are similar to their live counterparts aside from the fact they don't generate near water and there's no bricks associated with them. Stromatolites and Stromatolite Growths can be waterlogged.
  • Added Live Rock boulders, a new feature that generates in Warm Oceans. There's two variants; Red Algae-Covered Porous Live Rock Boulders and Green Algae-Covered Coraline Rock Boulders. Live Rock both Coraline and Porous has to be in contact with water in order to survive, as well as be mined with Silk Touch, otherwise they turn into Dry Live Rock. Live Rock blocks with algae on top of them can be right clicked with Shears to obtain the carpet. You can also right click them with Bone Meal to spread algae to their respective blocks.
  • Added Algae blocks and carpets, blocks can be crafted with 4 carpets and viceversa. Full Algae blocks can be right clicked underwater to make them grow in patches, replacing weaker blocks similarly to how Moss patches grow. When growing Green Algae can generate Green Algae Carpets, Sea Grapes, Caulerpas and Sea Pickles. When growing Red Algae can generate Dragon's Breath Algae, Red Algae Carpets, Red Algae and Red Algae Fans.
  • Added Red Algae, a new plant that can be placed underwater. Can be right clicked with Bone Meal to make it produce more of itself. They naturally spawn on top of Red Algae Live Rock boulders or when Bone Mealing Red Algae Blocks or Red Algae Live Rock Blocks.
  • Added Red Algae Fans, a new plant that can be placed underwater. Can be right clicked with Bone Meal to make it produce more of itself. Can be placed on walls as well. They naturally spawn on top of Red Algae Live Rock boulders or when Bone Mealing Red Algae Blocks or Red Algae Live Rock Blocks.
  • Added Dragon's Breath Algae, a new plant that can be placed underwater. Can be right clicked with Bone Meal to make it produce more of itself. They naturally spawn on top of Red Algae Live Rock boulders or when Bone Mealing Red Algae Blocks or Red Algae Live Rock Blocks.
  • Added Common Caulerpas, a new plant that can be placed underwater. Can be right clicked with Bone Meal to make it produce more of itself. They naturally spawn on top of Green Algae Live Rock boulders or when Bone Mealing Green Algae Blocks or Green Algae Live Rock Blocks.
  • Added Sea Grapes, a new plant that can be placed underwater. Can be right clicked with Bone Meal to make it grow like Kelp. They naturally spawn on top of Green Algae Live Rock boulders or when Bone Mealing Green Algae Blocks or Green Algae Live Rock Blocks, and will naturally grow to be 3-5 blocks tall. Three of them can be crafted with a bowl to make Sea Grape Salad.
  • Added Anubias, a new plant that can be placed underwater. Can be right clicked with Bone Meal to make it produce more of itself. They can also be placed on walls. They naturally spawn in Jungle logs that are underwater in bodies of water inside of Jungle biomes.
  • Added Fishing hat, a rare treasure that can be obtained from Drowned, in fishing loot or by trading with Master Fishermen villagers. They give you luck when you hold a fishing rod in your main hand, as well as they make it so fish don't run away from you.
